Hydropower Department, as a part of National Agency of Natural Resources as well as its mission function, has the main duties and objectives, as below:
To consult, suggest and collaborate with relevant government structures, on its policies compiling in hydropower field;
To apply the governmental policies in hydropower field;
When it's requested, it provides, within its activity competence, the government opponent on studies and projects in hydropower field;
To supervise hydropower activity;
To monitor concessionary contracts on hydropower plants.
