Chairman's Message |
The National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN) has been constituted in August, 2006 as a direct expression of both, the Albanian Government Strategy and the reforms to be fulfilled in the energy, hydrocarbon and mining sectors in Albania.
The substantial point of the Agency's activity is the protection of all natural resources, as a very precious richness Albania has. Surface waters, as an important power supply source, petroleum, gas and mineral reserves, as well as all other natural resources, related to renewable forms of energy, are objects of its activities.
The National Agency of Natural Resources is concerned to inform and attract the attention of serious local and foreign investors, on our natural resources. The Agency represents the Albanian Government interests toward the others, follows and supervises all procedures predicted by the Albanian legislation, aiming the achievement and the successive subscription of the agreements between the Albanian Government and the interested parts, as well as advises the government in what concerns the AKBN's operating fields.
The collaboration relationships the National Agency of Natural Resources establishes with everyone shows interest on Albanian natural resources, is based in clear and simple service procedures. Meanwhile such services guarantee both, high professional and credential levels. The activity of the Agency is based in laws and regulations, which express and lay on the Albanian experience, as well as on the most advanced international one.
