On March 16, 2023, an explanatory meeting was organized in Brussels on the EU directives, concerning chapter 15 “The Energy” and chapter 21 “Trans-European Networks”. On this purpose, the representatives of the EU presented the European energy policy as well as the directives on the European energy networks, on supply security as well as the directives on the labeling of energy-consuming equipment.
The intention of the EU in this informing meeting with Albania and North Macedonia was the use of clean energy as much as possible and the most efficient use of the energy, so that the countries of the EU as well as the countries that intende to accede to the EU, have as little dependence on fossil materials as possible, due to the fact that the Ukraine-Russia war crisis brought about problems in providing them. In support of this initiative, the EU countries have set a target on the contribution of clean energy up to 32% by 2030. The meeting defined tasks to our country in order to set up programs for the implementation of EU directives in support of chapters 15 and 21 on energy. AKBN/ NANR was presented at this meeting by the Executive Director, Mr. Adrian Bylyku.
