AKBN and AIDA Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Boost Investment in Strategic Sectors
Albania’s National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN) and the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation and developing joint activities to promote investment in the energy, mining, and hydrocarbon sectors.
The Memorandum was signed by the executive directors of both institutions — Genci Tërpo on behalf of AKBN and Laura Plaku (Saro) on behalf of AIDA. Both leaders emphasized that inter-agency cooperation is a prerequisite for achieving shared objectives and exchanging best practices in the field of investment promotion.
The MoU seeks to deepen institutional collaboration between AKBN and AIDA, with a focus on:
- promoting investment in the natural resources sectors;
- facilitating communication with domestic and foreign investors;
- coordinating information-sharing and technical assistance between the two agencies;
- supporting projects of strategic national importance in the energy, mining, and hydrocarbon sectors.
AKBN regards this Memorandum as a significant step forward in advancing and promoting investment across Albania’s key economic sectors.
