National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN), together with the EIT Raw Materials Regional Innovation Center in Albania and the Albanian Geological Survey, took part in a TAIEX study visit, where they explored “Kemi,” the largest chrome mine in Finland.
This mine holds strategic importance for the European mining industry and utilizes modern underground extraction technologies, operating at depths of up to 1,000 meters.
Representatives of the Albanian institutions had the opportunity to closely observe the most advanced chrome extraction technologies and the rigorous safety protocols on field.
During the visit, focused sessions were held on methods of preserving and managing core drilling samples to ensure accurate and reliable geological data.
This visit played a crucial role in upgrading institutional capabilities of Albanian experts through the exchange of expertise and best practices.
