National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN), represented by AKBN’s Economic Department, was part of the Albanian delegation in the TAIEX workshop and study visit on “Sanctions Implementation and Enforcement,” held in Tallinn, Estonia.

The primary focus of this workshop was to enhance understanding and application of effective international sanctions enforcement, with a particular emphasis on the legal and operational frameworks of the European Union and their implications at the national level.

The event provided a comprehensive overview of the entire lifecycle of a sanctioning measure — from its initiation and adoption, through to its practical implementation and continuous monitoring.

The broad and high-level representation of Albanian institutions in this activity stands as a clear testament to the country’s sustained commitment to advancing its capabilities in this field, particularly within the framework of Chapter 31 of the EU acquis.
