The specialist teams of the Monitoring Division of the Albanian National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN) have successfully concluded the on-site monitoring process of hydropower plants (HPPs) currently in operation in the regions of Kukës, Shkodër, Elbasan, and Korçë.

Throughout this process, carried out in close collaboration with the relevant energy producers, AKBN verified the supporting infrastructure and provided detailed recommendations for its maintenance, in line with high technical and operational standards.

Following the completion of the monitoring activities, AKBN issued “Annual Monitoring Certificates” to the respective energy production companies.

AKBN reaffirms its commitment to the continuous oversight and enhancement of hydropower infrastructure, with the main objective of ensuring a reliable, sustainable, and secure energy production system.
